Ingredients

kilogram of white flour.

Half a cup of sugar.

Half a cup of milk, full fat.

Two sticks of butter. Four teaspoons of baking powder.

A tablespoon of vanilla.

Half a cup of oil.

A quantity of toasted sesame. A box of ready-made dates, flavored or plain, as desired.

How to prepare

Put the butter in a frying pan over low heat and let it melt.

Add milk, sugar, vanilla, and oil, stir the materials together until they mix well, and heat them up a little.

Put the flour in a deep bowl and mix it with the baking powder, then start adding the liquid ingredients gradually, mix the ingredients well and think until they overlap each other, and you can add more flour if necessary.

Leave the dough to rest for half an hour, covering it with a piece of cloth.

Take the dough out of the bowl, and place it on a lightly floured surface until you start cutting and filling the dough.

Make longitudinal strips of the dough and spread them on the table, then stuff it with a quantity of dough.

Shape the beads as you see fit, such as: forming them with a wooden mold, or just making circles from them, then press the dough until it becomes a consistent shape.

Sprinkle a little sesame on the surface of the dough to decorate, and you can wipe the face of the dough with a little egg yolk mixed with a little milk, and sprinkle the sesame over it until it turns red when browned and the biscuit shape becomes more beautiful.

Repeat these steps for slicing and garnishing the cakes until you have used up all of them.

Bring the oven tray and wipe it with some oil or ghee, and put the cakes on the tray.

Put the tray into the oven at 185 degrees Celsius; So that it is preheated for between 20 and 30 minutes, so watch the cakes well so that the dough does not burn and brown a little on top.

After baking and making sure the cakes are done, take out the tray and leave it to cool for five minutes, then remove it from the tray and leave it until it cools to room temperature, then serve it.
